Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,
As you may know I had decided to accept the challenge of running in the 2011 Boston
Marathon to raise funds to support the mission of this incredible organization, Women of Means! Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to withdraw from actually running the race — however I am continuing my commitment to raise much needed funds for Women of Means, and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Since 1999 Women of Means (WoM) has provided over 65,000 free and unencumbered
medical care visits to homeless and disadvantaged women and children in the Boston area. As
the largest volunteer physician organization in Massachusetts, WoM gives homeless, poor and
battered women the “means” to move forward in their lives to stable housing, improved personal
safety, and better health and wellness.
I am reaching out to you in the hope that you will support me by donating to this worthy
organization, and together we can help Women of Means continue its vital mission of improving
the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our community – the homeless women and
children in the Boston area. My goal is high – I still hope to raise $5,000, and believe that together we can do it!
I thank you for your continued support.
